It’s no secret that Audemars Piguet does a marvelous job with its Royal Oak collection. Now, however, it goes above and beyond with this new Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication. Completely made in house at the brand’s Manufacture in the Valle’e de Joux, the new watch — is equipped with an exception movement. Crafted in titanium and ceramic, the self-winding 44mm watch features a minute repeater, split-second chronograph and perpetual calendar. In all, a total of 648 parts occupy the small space inside this watch case. Some of those parts are beautifully visible via the transparent sapphire dial and caseback, including its solid gold oscillating weight with a black coating. This contemporary beauty is made by a single master watchmaker who puts in more than 700 hours of patient craftsmanship per watch. Just three pieces will be made.
