For those die-hard lovers of the intricacies of watchmaking, take note:  The American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute will host its annual convention October 4–7, 2017, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Airport—Westshore hotel in Tampa, Fla. The event, which includes a vendor fair with tools, technology and more, also offers more than 12 hours of education. Additionally, a tour of watchband manufacturer Hadley-Roma is being offered. International head of watches at Christie’s auction house,  John Reardon,  is the keynote speaker.
