For a little break from watches today, we take a look at austere jewelry, the Cannes Film Festival and the award-winning Anne Hathaway. Today, Bulgari announces that Academy Award winning actress Anne Hathaway has joined the brand’s line up as its new global ambassador. Additionally, at the 75th annual Cannes film festival, Hathaway wore the exclusive “Bulgari Eden The Garden of Wonders” necklace and ring for “Armageddon Time,” directed by James Gray premiere.

The new Bulgari High Jewelry collection, that will be unveiled in June 2022, represents Bulgari’s incredible ongoing journey in the extraordinary world colored gemstones and creativity. Hathaway wore the “Mediterranean Reverie” necklace, one of the most precious creations ever designed and produced by the Roman jewelry house. The center stone of this necklace is a rare 107.15-carat cushion-cut Sri Lankan sapphire with an intense yet transparent shade of blue that emulates the Blue Grotto Sea cave of Capri. The necklace is crafted in platinum with baguette-cut sapphires and an array of pear-shaped and brilliant diamonds.

Matching the necklace, Hathaway donned the Bulgari Octagonal Wonder ring that is inspired by the geometry of hedges in traditional Italian gardens. The ring boasts an 18.12-carat oval sapphire from Sri Lanka.
