James Bond, AKA 007. Come on – every man wants to be him and every woman wants to be with him. Okay, so maybe not the “him” of the books, but certainly the “him” of the movies, especially with the soon-to-be-released 24th Bond film, Spectre. Lets face it, OO7’s got it all: brains, dashing good looks, cars, women, toys and – well—the best watches ever.
Indeed, Omega has long been producing the timepieces worn by the iconic legend — and the many famed actors portraying him on the big screen. The newest watch for Spectre: a limited edition Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M. Inspired by the Bond family Coat of Arms – the symbol of which creates an interlocking design on the blue dial (the same blue dial color Bond wore in the last film, Skyfall) – the 41.5mm stainless steel watch features a sapphire caseback cut in the shape of a gun barrel for viewing the mechanical movement.
Making the watch almost as adventurous and resistant to peril as Bond himself, Omega has made it antimagnetic to 15,007 gauss. It is powered by the new Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8507, and is being built in a limited edition of 15,007 pieces. Are you sensing the kindred spirit of 007? Let’s see if the retail price is also in the $7,007 range.
