German watch brand A. Lange & Sohne has a rich history that dates backk to the 19th century. Its roots were plucked, though, when the brand was expropriated after World War II. It was Walter Lange, the great-grandson of the original brand founder, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who brought the brand back to life in the early 1990’s with the help of watch industry veteran Gunter Blümlein. Lange & Sohne has developed 65 mechanical calibers to date and offers a host of beloved collections, including the Lange 1, the Zeitwerk and more.
