This Backes and Strauss Victoria Princess Red Heart watch was inspired by a 19th century brooch found in the company’s archives. The interlocking hearts are the focal point. The watch uses Ideal-cut diamonds and rubies.
Just last week in New York City, Antiquorum Auctioneers U.S. held its US-exclusive preview of the 33 unique watches – each made especially for the auction — that are being auctioned this weekend in the upcoming Only Watch auction on September 28 at the Only Watch 2013 charity event in Monaco. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy to help finance research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Laurent Ferrier Dove Watch is a symbolic timepiece demonstrating the brand’s commitment to the cause. It houses the Tourbillon Double Spiral inside a galet-shaped case with a unique sand-toned grand feu enameled dial.
In New York, Antiquorum co-hosted with The Consulate General of Monaco the preview of the 33 watches produced and donated by the world’s top brands. Now, following a preview stop in Geneva, the collection is in Monaco where it is on display during the Monaco Yacht Show (which starts today) and will be offered for auction at the Hotel Hermitage on Saturaday, September 28.
