It’s a common known fact that watch brands align themselves with ambassadors who can represent their products in the true lifestyle manner that is befitting of the timepiece. Some brands have more alliances than others, and some brands hold tight relationships with ambassadors in just a single walk of life. Then, there is Audemars Piguet, a brand with nearly a dozen and a half top ambassadors in several important worlds of sport, ranging from soccer, to basketball, auto racing, cricket and tennis (for the complete roster, click here).
In the world of golf, however, this brand excels – with nearly a dozen top men and women golfers on its roster. Now, joining an already existing team of great golfers such as Darren Clark and Graeme McDowell, three new ambassadors join the ranks – just in time to make it an awesome golf season. Among the newcomers: Keegan Bradley, Bud Cauley and Louis Oosthuizen. These three – like the brand’s other ambassadors – embody the company creed: “To break the rules, you must first master them.”
According to François-Henri Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, “The worlds of golf and watchmaking are interlinked, sharing values such as passion, precision and rigorousness. We are proud to team up with such exceptional golfers, passionate about their sport as well as perpetuating these values through their outstanding professionalism and success.”
