Just check back to see the 20 plus posts under the FIFA 2014 search on our sight. Now, with FIFA 2014 coming to a close in just about two weeks, it seems a good time to add to our previous comprehensive reporting of watch brands involved in soccer. Now, we bring you a look at some watches that simply are inspired by the beauty of Brazil and the concept of this year’s World Cup there. These brands have created timepieces that sport the colors of the country, or that offer other intriguing details. Among them:
Bulgari: Special edition World Cup OCTO Bi-Retro. The watch, created in a limited edition of 50 pieces, is inspired by the colors of Brazil: green, yellow and blue. Green is the traditional color of the House of Braganza former Brazilian royal family, and symbolizes hope and nature. Yellow is synonymous with the rich natural resources of the country, and blue represents the g sky over Rio de Janeiro; where much of the 2014 World Cup will take place this coming summer. The 43mm watch is crafted in steel with a ceramic bezel and sapphire caseback to view the Manufacture movement, Caliber GG17722, with automatic wind, jump hour and bi-retrograde display for minutes.
Tissot: Quickster Football watch inspired by soccer. The Tissot Quickster Soccer World Cup 2014 watch features a white dial and green bezel. The Quickster Swiss-made watch houses an ETA G10.212 movement and features a stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and silicon strap. The 42mm chronograph is water resistant to 100 meters.
88 Rue Du Rhone: The Rio watch. This is a vibrant 45mm chronograph that captures the thrill of Brazil. It features a royal blue dial accentuated by green and yellow details and is encased in stainless steel. The yellow seconds hand set against the blue dial and bright green counter hands mirror the colors of Brazil’s iconic national flag.
JeanRichard: The brand has created two limited/special edition Arsenal watches. Arsenal is part of the British Premiere league. Some of their players made the national teams at FIFA.
Since the World Cup 2014 goes on until Mid-July – we promise to bring news and updates of other watch brands involved in the World Cup.
