Last week we brought you a little insight in to the world of super hero watches. You can read more about that here. Now, we bring you the outlying borders of that category – watches that recall real hero colors. Such watches include the Men in Red collection from G-Shock. Two new G-Shock Master of G – Man in Red watches include the Mudman and the Rangeman – both in vibrant red cases that are larger than 50mm.
The Mudman is a Tough Solar watch that is shock resistant, water resistant to 200 meters and – well – mud resistant. The resin-cased watch, powered by solar energy, is equipped with a Twin Sensor and offers moon data, world time (in 48 cities), five alarms, a countdown timer, a 1/100th second stopwatch and much more.
The Rangeman has many of the same qualities as the Mudman, but offers more outdoor functionality. Solar powered, shock and water resistant, the Rangeman helps park rangers and others out in the field thanks to its digital compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, sunrise and sunset data, and more. Its full Auto LED (Super Illuminator) – again back to that “Super” — allows for night reading. Solar powered, the watch offers MB6 Atomic Timekeeping, four daily alarms, a stopwatch and countdown timer and is – well – mud resistant.
The new G-Shock Master of G Men in Red watches are for the man in red who needs almost everything available to him on the wrist while rescuing the world. The great part is that the Mudman retails for $200, and the Rangeman retails for $300 – because, let’s face it, heroes don’t necessarily make a lot of money.
