Just in time for the holidays, Frederique Constant adds four new GMT watches to its iconic Classics Index collection. In keeping with the traditional Classics Index characteristics, the dials of the new GMT are simple and elegant with applied indexes and Roman numerals.
Each watch features the hours, minutes, seconds and date, as well as a GMT hand — an unmistakable red triangle at the tip of the hand makes a rotation every 24 hours and can be used to read off the second time zone (via placed beneath the hour markers). The watch is powered by a FC 350 automatic movement, with 38 hours of power reserve, that can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
Though the dials are consistent throughout the line, the GMT is available in four different styles to suit each individual. Crafted in steel or in 18-karat goldplate with either a bracelet or strap, the watches feature black or silver dials and is water resistant to 5ATM. The line retails from $2,195 to $2,495.
