Ok men, this one is for the women so eat your heart out. Jus recently, Montblanc unveiled the newest complicated Exotouqbillon watch — and it is geared for women. In fact, it is part of the Boheme collection that was first launched three years ago in 2014, and that has quickly taken female hearts by storm. Now, the newest Montblanc Boheme ExoTourbillon watch is destined to do the same. The Boheme Exotouqbillon Jewelry Motif Serpent watch, as one might guess, focuses on the serpent – the symbol of life and rebirth. Each dial is an enchanting work of art utilizing such techniques as gem setting, gold work, and hand painted lacquer.
Designed to suit smaller wrists, this 38 mm timepiece is available in 18-karat 5 N rose gold, or white gold, and features a brilliant bezel encrusted with 58 Top Wesselton diamonds. Unique craftsmanship continues throughout the entire timepiece with accents such as sculpted onion crowns, curved faceted horns, and an ornamental dial.
The artisanal dial is handcrafted using shimmering refined white mother of pearl as a base. Adorning the dial, fine gold bands outline the shape and scales of a serpent, expertly hand painted in varying shades of purple and handset with 51 individual blue, rose and purple gem stones, including two radiant rubies for the eyes. Dial accents continue to round out this work of art as leaf-shaped hands and floral inspired Arabic numbers radiate Bohemian nature and style. Bringing the royal color full circle, the Boheme ExoTourbillion comes fitted with a matching purple alligator strap and an 18-karat gold pin buckle set with a dazzling diamond.
While the dial design may be whimsical, inside this timepiece lives a movement as lively as a serpent. The ExoTourbillon automatic caliber MB M29.24 movement with a power reserve of 48 hours took over three years of research and development to produce. This ExoTourbillion movement outperforms the standard tourbillion thanks to its lightweight cage, disconnected from the balance wheel. The movement comes with a quick stop-second mechanism and a micro-rotor, both created in house.
For elegance and craftsmanship that mirrors the watch design, the innovative in-house manufacture movement is been decorated to the high standards of fine watch making including Cotes de Genève decoration on the bridges and micro-rotor, mirror polish on the tourbillion bridge, satin finish on the main plate and sunray finish on the plate below the micro-rotor. The Boheme ExoTourbillon Jewellery Motif Serpent is limited to 18 pieces.
