It was just three years ago in 2019 that MB&F launched its first women’s watch: Legacy Machine FlyingT. It boasted the beloved round case with high domed sapphire crystal, offset angled dial and vertical movement with tourbillon escapement rising above the dial plate. It was also ensconced in diamonds. It drew a lot of attention and has since become a desired watch for women collectors. Now, the brand enhances the series with its first Tiger’s Eye dial version.
The new Tiger’s Eye LM FlyingT is crafted in 18-karat yellow gold and utilizes beautifully variegated black and golden brown hued tiger’s eye for the dial. This stone is part of the chalcedony family and is often used to make an impact that recalls the eyes of the mysterious and delightful tiger. Tiger’s Eye is said to have the power to calm anxiety and bring focus and mental clarity to its wearer — making this watch ever more desirable. It boasts a Tiger’s Eye dial plate, as well as a Tiger’s Eye watch dial set on an angle. It rounds out the collection that includes versions with lapis lazuli and malachite.
The 38.5mm watch is also set with brilliant-cut diamonds (168 stones) on the case, buckle. crowns and atop the tourbillon escapement. The three-dimensional 280-part automatic winding movement was developed in house and offers 100 hours of power reserve, and a sun-shaped rotor. Like the other FlyingT Legacy Machines, the case back of this watch is engraved with a likeness of the sun. It retails for $150,000.
