Last year, Oris surprised and delighted watch lovers with its “Cotton Candy” collection of bronze dive watches. They sported dials in colors such as light pink, sky blue and seafoam green. Now, the brand takes the concept a step further and releases the newest Cotton Candy Divers Sixty-Five bronze watches on color-coordinated perlon straps.

The perlon straps are a version of Nylon 6, which is often used in military watches. The synthetic nylon is created slightly differently than regular nylon because the materials are linked via a very tightly woven chain process so the fibers are stronger. In this case, the materials used for the NATO-like perlon strap are recycled.

The colorful Perlon straps in sky blue, wild green and lipstick pink make a lighthearted whimsical statement about watches and a more impactful statement about the importance of recycling – something Oris takes seriously with many of its partnerships. The watches are powered by automatic Swiss-made movements with 38 hours of power reserve , boast domed anti-reflective sapphire crystals and are water resistant to 100 meters. Super-LumiNova coatings is applied to the hands and markers.

The bronze multi-piece case boasts a unidirectional rotating bezel with a bronze inlay and a minute scale. The case and bezel will form their own unique patina over time – making each 38mm Cotton Candy Divers Sixty-Five watch unique. The best thing about these watches, after the unique patina that will form and the colorful Perlon straps, is the price: $2,600 each.
