The brand has teamed its much-loved Patravi TravelTec watch with Rinspeed’s latest Concept Car ∑tos. The new Patravi TravelTec in matte black DLC (Diamond Like Coating) is actually presented on the dashboard of the ∑tos concept car. It has its own special display case in the car that swings from left to right in regular intervals, thereby winding the automatic watch.
The box on the dashboard is also an auto winder.
The TravelTec simultaneously displays three time zones in combination with a GMT chronograph. Its patented monopusher enables the wearer to switch back and forth between East and West travel directions. Powered by the CFB 1901.1 certified chronometer movement, the watch is a blend of precision and technology. It utilizes cutting-edge materials that also make the timepiece appealing to Rinspeed, including the wafer-thin crystalline carbon structure that ensures shock and scratch resistance.
In addition to the special box on the dashboard that winds the watch, the ∑tos concept car also serves as a watch winder because as the car is driven, the action powers the watch. In further innovative deign and technology, the display case features a swiveling speaker/camera that can be used while driving for incoming calls.
