Since its total overhaul in watch design several years ago, Concord has garnered an amazing following of collectors and connoisseurs who enjoy the boldness and individuality of the C1 and C Lab collections. Now the brand presents one more extremely bold creation in its C Lab Series: the C1 BlackSpider Tourbillon in 18-karat rose gold. The 47mm watch is a masterpiece both inside and out. The rose gold watch case features eight protective black rubber-coated titanium rings laterally screwed in to the bezel with rose gold screws to emulate the black spider’s eight legs. The movement plate services as the dial on this watch and is black with rose gold accents for bold allure. Underscoring the technical mastery of the watch, Concord has fitted it with a mechanical hand-wound Concord Caliber C105 with hours, minutes, and tourbillon escapement. The tourbillon escapement is open-worked and visible at 6:00 on the dial, nicely balanced with an aperture at 12:00 to view the mechanics of the watch. The 19-jewel movement offers 72 hours of power reserve. The watch, which is water resistant to 30 meters, features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and caseback for viewing the movement. A black rubberized alligator strap with rose gold deployment buckle offers the finishing touch.
