We have written about Cuervo y Sobrinos many times here before. It is a brand we really love. Not only is it Swiss made, but it has long ties in the watch world, and has firm Cuban roots. Here we take a look at the alluring Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Tradicion Champagne watch. Cheers!
This year, Cuervo y Sobrinos celebrated its 135th anniversary, and in honor of that, the brand unveils a remake of a vintage masterpiece that is faithful to the original 1950’s design found in the historical archives in Havana. The new 40mm stainless steel automatic Historiador Tradicion Champagne watch offers classic appeal thanks to the curved crystal and finely decorated dial. In fact, the dial features a grid-shaped “frappage” motif, and eight raised circular markers, along with two rapezoid markers at 3:00 and 9:00, and a date indication at 6:00. Even the brand name on the dial is written in a vintage style script. The watch offers 42 hours of power reserve and is created in a limited edition of just 882 pieces. The sapphire caseback fetures an imprint of the watch number on it and in the center a coin marks the years: 1882 and 2017. It retails for. $3,850.
