The ScubaGraff houses a mechanical movement and offers 20 minute countdown indicator for diving
Here’s a brand we don’t talk about often – mostly because their timepieces are so over-the-top when it comes to diamonds. After all, Graff is one of the world’s foremost diamond houses. It also is a brand that offers superb complications in watchmaking for men of extremely discerning tastes. While this British born diamond house was formed in 1960, it didn’t unveil its first timepieces until 2008, and has steadily offered excellence and bespoke craftsmanship.
This year at BaselWorld 2014, Graff unveils an all-new ScubaGraff watch in chocolate brown tones and 18-karat rose gold. Housing the self-winding Graff Caliber 2, the watch offers hours, minutes, seconds and 20 minute countdown indicator for diving. The 47mm case is chocolate DLC with rose gold and the chocolate brown dial features a sunray patter. The effect of the warm colors together makes this watch a real stunner. It is water resistant to 10 ATM and has an octopus motif engraved on the case back. Even if you don’t dive, you’ll want to wear this watch.
THe MasterGraff offers flying tourbillon, instanteous date change on the Grand Date and Dual Time Zone indicator.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, the brand also unveils a complicated tourbillon watch that is a business person’s dream thanks to its big date and dual time indication. The MasterGraff Grand Date Dual Time Tourbillon is the first watch from Graff to combine all three of these complexities. Like the other timepieces in the Luxury Watch Collection, the newest watch is a bespoke piece that demonstrates the brand’s commitment to excellence and elegance. The hand-wound Graff Calibre 5 movement offers large flying tourbillon escapement at 6:00, big date at 12:00 with instantaneous change, and a superb second time zone subdial nestled neatly at 2:00 with day and night sky indicator. It is housed in a signature Graff rose-gold 43mm case with distinctive angles meant to resemble the facets of a diamond. It is created in a limited edition. Prices are not yet determined.
