Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has a way of wowing watch lovers and sports spectators. He brings on brand ambassadors that actually wear their Richard Mille watches while engaging in their competitions. From racing, to tennis, golf and more—Richard Mille works side by side with its ambassadors to create special timepieces that work for them (in more ways than one). The same is true of the new RM 35-02 Rafael Nadal watch — it represents a leap in technological achievement for the already ultra-high-tech brand.
The timepiece is powered by the new automatic (the first time an automatic graces this line) RMAL1 caliber and is equipped with Mille’s patented variable-geometry rotor made of light-weight titanium and that enables wearers to adjust the winding to meet their activity level. The automatic RM 35-02 Rafael Nadal is available in either NTPT Carbon or – our favorite — Quartz-TPT® Red.
Essentially the case is crafted of 45micron-thin layers of silicon that are treated with red resin and then layered in different directions to add strength and depth. The watch can withstand forces up to 5,000 g’s. All for 135,000 Swiss Francs.
