For years Bulgari has been this out-of-reach brand that you aspire to own whether man or woman. Now, though, the brand unveils a new Bulgari watch that is not only immediately identifiable, but also is functional and on the “affordable” side. The all-new Bulgari Aluminium GMT watch offers a nod to today’s happy-to-get-back-to-travel customers.
The GMT watch is crafted of high- tech aluminium making it light weight and attainable. The watch is modelled after the first aluminium watch the brand created in the late 1990’s and boasts a bezel that is crafted in rubber – much like that original black and white watch. However, the new timepiece is all about modern colors and cool attitudes. The bezel is in blue rubber and the matching strap is also blue rubber with aluminium insets. The dial is in matching blue with a 24-hour indication in blue and red – making a bold statement about time and color.
The Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) function showcases the time across any of the top 24 zones and recalls that original 1998 watch. The function is easy to use and allows the wearer to read both home time and local time at a glance. Local time is read conventionally by the hands pointing to the markers, while the home time is red off of the red-tipped pointer that reaches the outer 24-hour flange. All settings are simple to perform using the crown.
Powered by the B192 mechanical automatic caliber, the watch offers hours, minutes, seconds, date and 24-hour hand for second time zone. The 40mm timepiece boasts a titanium case back and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The hour markers and hands are coated with super-LumiNova to glow in the dark. The watch retails for $3,500.
