A few weeks ago, we wrote about the recent watch auctions. In one of them, a decades-old bold lemon-yellow dialed Rolex was a top seller. For years, Rolex has been creating great, colorful dials that catch the eye. This year is no exception. In its Oyster Perpetual Day-Date series, the brand has unveiled new 36mm Everose gold, yellow gold and white gold models with intriguing dials that include green, cherry red, blue, cognac and rhodium offered on color coordinated straps.
As with all Oyster cased watches, the new versions are water resistant to 100 meters and feature a screw-down case back and patented TwinLock double water resistant crown. Each watch features a Cyclops crystal lens at 3:00 for easy viewing of the date. The movement is the Caliber 3155, a Superlative Chronometer. These colorful and alluring renditions retail from $23,000 to $25,000.
