Today is not about football or shopping. Thanksgiving is a holiday initially intended to celebrate a good harvest, and to be thankful for the good in our lives. In a year wrought with personal challenges, I find myself giving thanks today — and every day — for the simple things we tend to take for granted: family, health and love. So today, more than ever before, I am thankful that my family is healthy and alive. It is that simple and yet so incredibly complex. It hasn’t been the easiest year, but it has made me recognize how thankful I am for family, friends who care and for the love, compassion and honesty we put forth.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.
