Richard Mille 011 Red Demon
Since he started in the watch world, Richard Mille has been different. With visionary forethought, he was among the first of the independent watch brands to create three-dimensional architecturally advanced timepieces. He was among the first to integrate truly high-tech materials and unusual complexities. Now, Richard Mille is obsessed with demons. As such, the brand unveils two exclusive releases expressly for the North and South American market: RM 011 Automatic Flyback Chronograph ‘White Demon and ‘Red Demon.’

In these new renditions, horology is being pushed to the limit and every aspect of the watches has been meticulously scrutinized with high-end finishes. While the name of these watches is Demon, they are from horology heaven. The White & Red Demon are both the RM011 model, which is an automatic fly back chronograph in a 50.00 mm X 40.00 mm X 16.15 mm package. Fly back chronographs allow for the user to start, stop and reset the chronograph function of the watch with the use of a single button. Both versions have a luxe finish. The White Demon features a white Alumina-toughened Zirconia ceramic bezel, referred to as ATZ. ATZ is a material lauded for its high strength, stiffness and resistant to extreme temperatures.

The Red Demon is finished in a 5N red gold case. Both feature North Thin Ply Technology Carbon as the substance used for the chronograph pushers. NTPT is a material that would make fans of Tron jealous. It is typically found in F1 race cars, unmanned aerial vehicles, American Cup racing yachts, satellites and now on the wrists of those fortunate enough to get their hands on this little devil. The stylized details and hands on the skeletonized dial are done in a fiery red hue, which gives both of the watches their demon moniker. The dial sports a 60 minute countdown timer, 12 hour totalizer, annual calendar, oversized date and month and is water resistant to 50m. Other features include a rotor with variable geometry, and a power reserve of 50 hours, when the chronograph is not running.

The White Demon and Red Demon come on rubber straps that match the color of their namesakes. Each will be extremely limited to 30 pieces and made for the America’s only. The White Demon will retail for $170k, and the Red Demon sells for $140,000, which is in the sweet spot for the Hedge Fund Manager, High Frequency Trader, Hollywood producer and those of their ilk.
