Don’t procrastinate. Father’s Day is not really that far off and German watch brand Tutima has the perfect gift for dad: the all-new M2 Coastline Chronograph with a unique personality. Maybe almost as unique as dad. There are two versions of the robust Tutima M2 Coastline Chronograph being offered with the brand’s chronograph automatic caliber (Tutima Caliber 310). In fact, you may like them so much once you get them on your wrist that you might just buy one for yourself, as well.
Offering 48 hours of power reserve, as well as a date display, the chronograph times up to 60 elapsed seconds, 30 elapsed minutes and 12 elapsed hours. That means you can time a lot more than a game of golf. The Tutima M2 Coastline Chronograph marks the introduction of the new Tutima Caliber 310– made in house in the brand’s Glashütte Manufacture.
As such, the watch is packed with attention to detail at every turn. The elongated chronograph pushbuttons hug the case for an ergonomic design appeal, and they feature inlays with notching and black PVD for an ultra cool look. There are two versions of the Tutima Coastline Chronograph being offered in pure titanium, including one with a rich matte blue dial and all white accents, and the other with a black matte dial with white and red hands and markers. The titanium case has a matte finish that underscores the watch’s rugged, do-anything attitude.
To ensure there is a look for everyone, Tutima releases the watches with either a thick, vintage-inspired leather strap with stitching color-coordinated to the dial so that it exudes a retro feel, while the other option is a pure titanium bracelet that offers a stealth and more modern look. The Tutima M2 Coastline Chronograph is pressure tested to 20 ATM.
One of the nicest things about this new chronograph is the easy readability of it thanks to a balanced and harmonious layout of the dia. The subsidiary seconds and date are in a linear arrangement across the dial center, while the chronograph counters are at 12:00 and 6:00 for great legibility .Naturally, the hands and markers feature Super-LumiNova coating, because Tutima never cuts corners. The sapphire crystal boasts an antireflective coating, as well.
This impressive 43mm M2 Coastline Chronograph offers a real quality/value appeal. With so many fine watchmaking attributes, the watch retails for a surprisingly affordable $3,300 on strap, and $3,600 on bracelet.
