Luminox Atacama watches
Swiss watch brand Luminox, known for its tool watches that equip adventurer Bear Grylls, U.S. Navy SEALS and other military and rescue groups, as well as first responders and enthusiasts, just released its newest series of watches – named for the Atacama Desert – and created in striking blue colorways. The newest 44, watches are created in stainless steel with a rich blue dial with white and orange accents that make it really pop on the wrist. Offered with either a blue fabric strap (Ref. 1903) or a metal bracelet (Ref. 1904), the watches showcase the hours, minutes, seconds, day and date, as well as a 24-hour indication.

The Luminox Atacama watches glow for up to 25 years thanks to the Luminox Light Technology with tritium tubes.
Not only do these versions look dynamite in the daytime, but also they will light up your night for easy readability thanks to the brand’s proprietary Luminox Lighting Technology (LLT). The watches use tiny tritium tubes instead of luminescent coatings that guarantee night vision for up to 15 years.

Luminox Atacama watches are available with either a bracelet in stainless steel or a fabric strap.
The blue beauties are rugged and geared to go the distance with the wearer. They are powered by an automatic Swiss-made Sellita movement and are water resistant to 200 meters thanks to a screw-in case back and a screw-down crown. Even the sapphire crystal is highly functional thanks to an anti-reflective coating to avoid glare. The Atacama Field Automatic Swiss Movement 1903 watch on strap retails for $975, while the bracelet version sells for $1,075.
As mentioned, this line, which exists already with a green textile trap and a black leather strap, is named after the Atacama Desert in Chile, which is considered the driest desert in the world.
