This year marks the 20th anniversary of Parmigiani Fleurier – a brand that is dedicated to superb Swiss watchmaking. Founded by Michele Parmigiani, a watchmaker and expert restorer of vintage timepieces, the brand is dedicated to exclusivity and design. To celebrate the 20-year mark, Parmigiani unveils the Kalpa Hebdomadaire Anniversary watch – a unique piece that is inspired by the first wristwatch he ever made.
The tonneau shaped stainless steel watch is iconic and surprising at the same time. It is crafted in stainless steel, but the 227-part PF110 movement is manufactured entirely in 18-karat yellow gold. The movement is richly decorated and reflects countless hours of work by master artisans. Each bridge is engraved with a dragon wing pattern. The rich decoration is visible via a sapphire caseback. The movement offers eight days of power reserve thanks to two series-coupled barrels.
The dial and the leather strap are in a tan color that the brand is calling Havana. This unique piece, which retails for $65,000, will be followed later this year with a limited edition of 10 pieces – each mechanically identical but with certain differences aesthetically.
