It’s a great time to add a little color to your life. Despite the gloomy times we may be witnessing, color brings a splash of excitement and lifts the attitude. Especially when that color is a sophisticated palette created by one of the greatest artists of the 20^thcentury. Last year, Swiss watchmaker Rado announced its partnership with Les Couleurs Suisse, the organization mandated by the Foundation Le Corbusier, to license the great designer’s original palette of Architectural Polychromy colors. Now, Rado brings new colors to life on the wrist.

Because Le Corbusier (nee, Charles Edouard Jeanneret Gris) believed color and color systems were instrumental in architecture, sculpture, tapestry and more, he developed 63 colors he referred to as his Architectural Polychromy that are designed to convey only positive feelings. From 1931 through 1959, he defined colors that he said were harmonious and could be combined in any manner. These colors are still revered by architects and designers globally.

For Rado, which has long been a pioneer in new materials – after all this was the first brand to introduce high-tech ceramic decades ago – turning to color for its current ceramic collections is a natural. The first collection released last year consisted of 14 Les Couleurs. Now, the brand unveils another series of True Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier watches

Each of the new Rado True Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corubsier watches house a quartz movement to achieve the ultra-thin case. The case is made of high-tech matt ceramic with a ceramic crown and curved sapphire crystals. The case back is titanium with a special digital Corbusier color stripes print. Each also carries the words Polychromie Architecturale, Limited Edition One out of 999. The hands and markers are in the same color as the dial and the three-row high-tech matt ceramic titanium bracelet is color coordinated, as well.

All crafted in high-tech ceramic, each new color represents one of the nine groups in the color palette. Colors include cream white, iron gray, spectacular ultramarine, sunshine yellow, powerful orange, luminous pink, English green and more. In addition to brightening your world with color, the price is pretty acceptable, too for an ultra-thin high-tech ceramic: $2,100.
