In an interesting new partnership, TAG Heuer has teamed with Dartfish to bring to market the smallest and smartest video analysis and timing system package for sports training: the Pocket Pro. The Pocket Pro combines Darffish’s analysis systems with a true stop watch to offer a sports training tool that is unparalleled on the market today.
The innovative digital stop watch offers real time and images for daily training. Using the myDartfish Express — TAG Heuer apps, the devices communicate via Bluetooth technology.. Starting the stopwatch begins the time and video capture simultaneously. The TAG Heuer time is automatically inlaid on the image. When the user stops the stopwatch, the video capture ends and saves the file so that the video is available for in-depth anaylysis and features integrated time stamp.
Real time is recorded over the video imaging for later training analysis.
Dartfish is a Swiss company that is recognized by thousands of organizations and sporting outlets to be a leader in the field of technology for the creation, analysis and distribution of video content. When your favorite athlete says they will watch film and study tape to improve upon their craft, chances are they are probably using technology produced by these folks. Created in 1998, they have helped revolutionize video training methods used by professional trainers around the world. There are a host of uses for the everyday sports man or woman, too.
The concept makes sense for TAG Heuer, which has already unveiled several versions of its Smart watch, and is very involved in sports sponsorships around the globe. The innovative Pocket Pro will retail for approximately $450.
