Tutima Racing Yacht with an all-female team is competing in Northern Europe now.
It’s been a wild and wonderful summer for Tutima, a brand committed to several sports, including sailing. In fact, the brand has had its own Tutima racing yacht since 2009. What’s even cooler about that is the fact that the DK46 racing cruiser is manned by an all-female crew headed by a Hamburg, Germany-based skipper. This past couple of weeks that crew has been racing around Northern Europe — hoisting sails and navigating the seas with some interesting results. While the team unfortunately came in eighth in the long distance race of ORC Europeans, prior to that it had finished the Polish Open with a 1st and 2nd place in a couple of races, and a 4. place overall.

In addition to its Tutima Racing Yacht and team, the brand continues to act as the Official Timekeeper of certain regattas. In fact, since 2005, Tutima has sponsored the world-famous Kieler Woche Regattas as the Official Timekeeper and has been part of other international sailing events. In fact, the M2 Seven Seas high-performance watch is a three-hand self-winding watch that offers date and day of week indication, and is extremely shock- and water-resistant. Part of the brand’s Military collection, the44mm M2 Seven Seas is crafted in titanium and houses the Tutima 330 automatic mechanic movement with 38 hours of power reserve. The rugged timepiece is pressure tested to 50 bar and features a unidirectional rotating bezel with calibrations and luminous marking point. The sapphire crystal is anti-reflective on both sides and the watch is equipped with a screw-in caseback and screw-in crown. Variations include ocean blue or midnight black dials and a choice of a study titanium bracelet or Kevlar strap with inner seam in either black or blue to match the dial colors. The best part of the watch is the price: $1,900 on strap, and $2,300 on bracelet.
