With the new year upon us, the Pantone Color Institute has announced its hot colors of 2016.Typically, there is one star color of the year, but this year they have named two hues: Rose Quartz and Serenity (a pale blue hue) as the 2016 Colors of the Year. This means we can expect a lot of pink and a “tranquil” blue on the market by the second half of the year. Additionally, The Pantone Color Institute says that the best way to wear these colors is in a pair – so expect to see some interesting mixes of pink and blue.
Well, we have news for the Pantone Color institute – Rolex is already on top of the 2016 colors – and has been for all of 2015. Not only is the brand offering stunning pink dial watches and blue dial watches in its Oyster Perpetual, Oyster Perpetual Datejust and Perpetual Date lines, but also it has a grand blend of both colors in its daring and dazzling Pearlmaster line.
Our five favorite picks:
The Rolex Pearlmaster 39mm jewelry watch, with softly curved lines and exquisite gem-set bezel featuring rubies and sapphires. This timepiece houses the 3235 new-generation movement that has been entirely developed in house by the brand. A certified COSC chronometer, the new Pearlmaster 39 features a grape dial and is an eye-catcher in blue and pink from across any crowded room.
Similarly, the Pearlmaster 29, created in the brand’s patented 18-karat Everose gold, offers a great blend of soft hues thanks to the meteorite dial that glimmers pale blue depending on the light and the angle. The version shown here is equipped with the 2235 self-winding caliber that is a COSC-certified chronometer. The watch is finished with a Pearlmaster bracelet.
For those who prefer to wear just one of the Pantone colors of the year instead of both, you may be happier with one of these three models:
The Rolex Oyster 34 in Rolesor (a combination of 904L stainless steel and 18-karat white gold) boasts a beautiful pink dial with diamond markers. The perpetual mechanical self-winding caliber 3135offers hour, minute and second hand and instantaneous date with rapid setting.
Similarly, the Datejust 36mm in Everose gold also boasts a very special pink dial with Rolex logo motif. It features a beautifully fluted bezel and is accented with a pink leather strap. Like all Rolex timepieces, it is a COSC-certified chronometer.
And, as seen in the very first image of this article, let’s not forget “Serenity.” The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 in Rolesor (a combination of 904L stainless steel and 18-karat white gold) boasts a beautiful and tranquil blue dial. The watch is powered by the Caliber 3135 self-winding mechanical COSC-certified movement. This caliber is fitted with a Parachrom hairspring that offers greater shock and temperature resistance. Just five of many reasons Rolex gets it right.
