TW Steel
It wasn’t too long ago that TW Steel, with a slogan of “Big in Oversized watches” unveiled its Slim Line collection. Guess what? That affordable series is an incredible hit. These are watches you defineintely want on your wrist for weekend bar-b-ques or for trying to make an impression on a very limited budget. These watches don’t just look good, they look pretty darn good.
Ok, so, yes they are quartz. Ok, so yes, they are plated in gold instead of made of gold — but then, that helps keep them affordable. One of our male contributors wore the blue dial, blue strap, rose gold TW Steel watch seen here for a month. He turned heads.
A few examples:
Smack in the middle of a meeting with a lawyer — who was wearing a Rolex, — we couldn’t help but notice that he kept ogling the TW Steel. Mid-sentence he stopped and turned, finally stating: “That’s a really great watch you are wearing, what is it?”
During dinner at a very upscale Spanish restaurant, several waiters were standing together talking, looking our way. Finally, at dessert, the head waiter came over and surreptitiously asked: “Do you mind telling me what brand of watch you are wearing? We all can’t help but notice it from across the room.”
Best yet … the woman who said: “Damn, that is one nice watch you are wearing. Goes with your blue eyes.”
