Tutima 6600 Patria watch
Father’s Day is around the corner, and we believe that the best gift is the gift of time. This week, we will bring several great watches to the forefront that are in stores now and perfect gifts for Dad. The first is the German-made (Glashutte) Tutima Patria Dual Time watch. The new gold Patria 6600 is meant to convey every bit of the German brand’s rich watchmaking history, and when looking at the watch, the classic styling elements are immediately apparent. The 43mm 18-karat rose gold Patria is offered in two versions: with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6:00, or, by request, as a dual time zone watch with the subdial indicating the second time zone. Additionally, there are two silver opaline dial offers: one with Arabic numerals and one with gold indices.
The Caliber 617 is made in-house in Glashutte and offers 65 hours of power reserve.
Powered by the in-house-made Tutima hand-wound Calibre 617, the watch offers a power reserve of 65 hours when fully wound. The movement is visible via the sapphire display back, revealing the traditional Glashutte three quarter plate and a host of finishing details that would make any horophile blush. A uniformly banded pattern adorns the plane of the plate and highlights three ruby jewels in their screwed gold settings.

Each of the two steel crown wheels is finished with a sunburst pattern and has a special ratchet with steel springs polished on tinplate. For the balance cock, the beveled edges have been hand polished to a high gloss. An accurately drawn bevel runs along each screw (in German traditions, polished instead of blued) and around the periphery of its head. The balance, which bears 14 weight screws and four regulating screws, oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 A/h (semi-oscillations per hour) and is paired with a Breguet hairspring. The watch is presented on an alligator strap with 18-karat rose gold pin buckle. It retails for $19,500.
