Handcrafts of ultimate luxury, Patek Philippe’s Dome Clocks are exquisitely made with passion and perfection. Each Patek Philippe dome table clocks is a unique piece – built with superb movements and hand-enameled individually with depictions of fairy tales and other stuff that dreams are made of. Each clock is a work of art, a wonder to behold. No matter how long you stare at the dome clocks, turning them and turning them, there is still another intriguing image to behold. The artists who create these pieces, painstakingly painting layer after layer to achieve a final result, have held time captive in a masterpiece destined for greatness.
This stunning one-of-a-kind Cloisonné’ Enamel Dome Clock was recently specially created for the opening of the first free-standing Patek Philippe Boutique in the United States — which is owned and operated by Geary’s on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The clock combines several rare disciplines, including the masterful technique of cloisonné’ enamel. It depicts California’s state bird, the valley quail, and is painted with approximately 44 opaque and transparent enamel colors. The painting is done with a multi-hair brush over the course of hundreds upon hundreds of hours, and every step requires firing at extremely high temperatures that could result in damage. In fact, approximately six firings go into the making of each clock. This clock also features integrated gold and silver leaf, and the partitions of the clock are created using a single length of gold.
