Last night’s epic win by the Philadelphia Eagles over New England at the Super Bowl LII was even impressive from a watch perspective. It turns out that Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie brought a good luck charm to the game with him: his father’s watch. In different interviews last night and today, Lurie said that he kept the watch in his jacket pocket, feeling for it regularly and hoping the Eagles would win their very first Super Bowl. The timepiece, you ask? Vacheron Constantin. We are trying to verify the details on that watch, and will bring an update soon, but from what it looks like in the video below- it was a square or rectangular yellow gold watch.
Below you can watch a video interview Lurie did with ESPN where he talks about the sentimental value of the watch.
Any update on the mysterious gold watch kept in Lurie’s pocket during the game? Just curious.
