Vacheron Constantin Fabuleux Ornements collection
Métiers d’Arts have just escalated in elegance and sophistication thanks to Vacheron Constantin and the all-new Fabuleaux Ornements collection of timepieces unveiled at this year’s SIHH. The series celebrates the decorative arts of different cultures ranging from Chinese embroidery, to Ottoman architecture, Indian manuscripts and French Lacework.

The collection, first launched two years ago, features four models — each combining amazing artistic crafts and technical prowess and each bearing the Hallmark of Geneva. The watches are all powered by the in-house-made hand-engraved ultra-thin 117-part movement, caliber 1003 SQRH2.
The Chinese embroidery version is crafted in 18-karat gold with a dial that is stone (jade) cloisonné with sculpted mother of pearl (and one pink opal) hand-engraved leaves and stems. The watch is bedecked with 145 round-cut diamonds weighing about 2.4 carats. Just 20 pieces will be made. hand-engraved movement: calibre ultra-thin 1003 in 18K gold. The finesse of the front-facing décor is precise to the nearest tenth of a millimetre, while on the back Vacheron Constantin has opted for an exclusively chamfered and hand-drawn finish that preserves a restrained appearance.
Fabuleux ornements watches are powered by in-house made mechanical movements.
The Indian Manuscript watch is recognized by its Grand Feu Champleve enamel and hand engravings, while the Ottoman Architectures displays hand chamfering and gold grid work with half-pearl beads. The “French lacework” watch features a translucent hand-guilloché Grand Feu enamelled dial and the watch is set with garnet-colored sapphires and diamonds.
The newest watches are a stunning site to behold and a perfect representation of Vacheron Constantin’s art and mastery.
